I chose to film in a church as the atmosphere is strange and uneasy when people are not present; long empty pews and rows of creased bibles from years if people opening them. A lit candle and blank notes with indentations of prayers written on them indicates someone has been here. A group of visitors break the silence and you can hear them talking and moving around the church. Shadows of people walking past are capture on a pillar flooded with light from the stained glass window. Photo-like frames show different angles of the church relating back to my photography of the site. My intentions are to show presence and absence of people; however, the fact that this is a church could lead to connotations of the presence of God which was not intended in this film.
