This film opens with a view of a wall illuminated in late winter sun. It captures the silhouette of the banisters and shadows of people passing by. The view of the long stairwell in Pavilion Parade from underneath shows the journeys of people entering and leaving the building. A hand or arm will appear 5 floors up then disappear, almost subliminally, that suggests human presence. By looking upwards in the stairwells changes in light are seen as people pass by. As people leave a door slams which leaves an echo resonating throughout the whole stairwell.
The corridors in this film have a stark and unhomely feel, emphasised by the lighting. People can be heard moving, above and around these corridors, but they are never seen.
